Martin Hopkins Head of Bowmans’ Reward Advisory Services
Overview
Martin Hopkins is Head of Bowmans’ Reward Advisory Services. He works closely with Employment & Benefits and Tax Practice. Martin is an applied mathematician and computer scientist by training, and has advised top South African and international companies and their board committees on the full range of compensation matters. These include executive remuneration, value driver models, balanced scorecards and performance management. He is a member of the executive committee and immediate past president of the South African Reward Association, member of the Institute of Directors Remuneration Committee Forum and of the King Remuneration Sub-committee and is an accredited Master Reward Specialist.
- He worked previously at PwC, where he was partner responsible for the South African Reward Consulting Practice. Before that, he was Head of Reward at Vodacom, following founding and working in a number of advisory companies in the areas of Value Based Management and software development.
- Martin has an MSc in applied mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University in the USA. He also has B.Sc. and a B.Sc. Honours degrees in applied mathematics and computer science from the University of the Witwatersrand.
